Кафе-мороженое IL CORTILE

Теперь у меня есть ещё одна причина ненавидеть понедельник, ведь именно тогда закрыто кафе-мороженое Il Cotrile. В чём его особенность? Да просто-напросто гора сама пришла к Магомеду: теперь настоящее итальянское gelato изготавливают прямо в Таллинне.

Интерьер. Кафе очень чистое, маленькое и аккуратное. Есть диванчики у стен, чтоб совсем расслабиться. Террасы нет, к сожалению, зато окна выглядывают на Lühike jalg и на внутренний двор — подвального ощущения нет. Для развлечения есть хороший трэк-лист и открытая Лаборатория по изготовлению мороженого. Честно сказать, прилипаю к стеклу подглядеть за процессом как маленький ребенок.

Заметила приятную мелочь, green-отношение, как говорится: бумажные салфетки и пакеты из переработанного материала. Молодцы, побольше б наших кафе взяли такую идею на вооружение.

Обслуживание. Если не знаете владельцев, основателей и мило обслуживающих вас молодых людей, то знакомьтесь: Pietro и Tommaso. Итальянское гостеприимство, любезность и весёлый нрав — естественно, всё при них. Всегда поприветствуют и помашут рукой, поболтают в духе ciao ciao, come stai и проводят. Держатся молодцом даже при напряжённых атаках народа на прилавок. Общаются  на английском, но понимают уже достаточно по-эстонски и по-русски. Так что, хотите подзарядится позитивом — приходите сюда. А если хотите сделать приятное хозяевам, то поздравьте их с приближающимся днём рождения: 29 мая будет два месяца с открытия.

Еда. Gelato, gelateria — надо выучить наизусть как непереводимую игру слов итальянского языка. Gelato — это музыка для моих ушей и праздник для живота. Удивительно, но за 1.5 месяца работы кафе и постоянных объеданий я так и не успела попробовать все их вкусы. Дело в том, что не все виды мороженого бывают на прилавке каждый день. Лотерея с выбором — да, но голодной или разочарованной точно никогда не уходила. Кстати, мороженое можно покупать с собой на дом (коробочки в продаже на месте).

В кафе gelato можно полакомиться в маленьком или большом вафельном рожке, в пластиковой чашке или стеклянной вазочке. Первые два варианта — можно и на вынос. Нравится, что предлагают попробовать новичкам мороженое перед покупкой — такого точно не встретишь в наших кафе. О цене: часто слышала, что за 1 шарик мороженого 2,50 или за 2  — 4,90 евро — это дорого. Да, есть в магазинах дешевле 1 евро. Выбор каждого уважаю, но лучше я съем ТАКОЕ мороженое в cortile раз в неделю, чем буду жевать лед и непонятные добавки за копейки.

Наконец, списов вкусов, который находится в этой недели и ближайшего времени в продаже:

• After 8 — молочное со вкусом знаменитого шоколада с ментоловым вкусом After 8, с кусочками;
• Caffè Bianco — молочное со вкусом кофе Illy;
• Cioccolato fondente (55% dark chocolate) — шоколадный фондант;
• Ciocorum (70% dark chocolate with rum) — шоколадное с ромом;
• Fiordilatte (flower of milk) — молочное, сливочное;
• Frutti di bosco (wild berries) — молочное с лесными ягодами, с кусочками ягод;
• Fragola (strawberry) — клубника, с кусочками;
• Kibana — киви и банан;
• Limone — лимонное;
• Mango — манго, с кусочками;
• Milk chocolate — молочный шоколад;
• Nocciola — ореховое;
• Pistacchio — фисташковое;
• Stracciatella — молочное с кусочками шоколада;
• Yogurt — йогуртовое.

Советую попробовать кофе марки Illy или чай Dammann, если после холодного замёрзнете. Для перекуса также есть небольшой выбор выпечки, но как-то до неё руки не доходили.

Напоследок, открою секрет: вскоре на прилавок вернутся пломбиры на палочке, а также будут мороженое-сэндвичи и торты-мороженое. Это только вопрос времени, поэтому держу кулаки за вас, ragazzi, и жду!

Now I have another strong reason to hate Mondays, because exactly that day ice-cream cafe Il Cortile is closed. What makes it so special? Answer is simple: now it’s the only place in Tallinn, which serves genuine Italian gelato.

Interior. Cafe is very clean, small and accurate. There are sofas near the walls, so you can totally relax. Pity, no terrace, but windows look to Lühike street and inner yard, so you won’t get a basement feeling. Entertainment for the guests — good music track-list and a Laboratoruim — ice-cream making room. To tell the truth, I often myself stick to the window as a kid to glance at the process.

Noticed pleasant detail, green thing let’s name it: paper napkins and bags are from recycled material. Well done, wish more cafes would take this idea into account.

Service. If you still don’t know the owners, founders and always pleasantly welcoming you young men, so let me introduce: Pietro and Tommaso. Italian hospitality, kindness and good humour — all comes naturally. Every time they meet and greet all customers, wave hand for hello and goodbye. Stay calm even in rush hour, when dozens of customers attack the counter. They communicate in English, but already understand Estonian and Russian sufficiently. So, if you want to get your mood high — come here. And if you want to please the owners, then congratulate them on coming birthday: on 29th May will be 2 months since cafe opening.

Food. Gelato, gelateria — learn by heart those magic words of Italy. Gelato — is a music for my ears and feast for the tummy. Surprisingly, in 1.5 months I haven’t managed to taste all ice cream flavours. As a matter of fact, not all the variations are on place every day. Yes, there is a lottery with a choice, but I never left unsatisfied or hungry, even if I didn’t find my favourite ice cream that day. By the way, you can take ice cream for home (boxes are on sale in cafe).

At spot you can enjoy gelato in a small or big waffle cone, in a plastic cup or a glass cup. First two options mean taking out as well. I do like that you can try the gelato before buying whole portion. This courtesy is not common in our cafes at all. What about the price? I often heard that 2.50 euro per 1 ice cream ball and 4.90 per 2 — is expensive. Well, there are even ice creams less than 1 euro in other stores. I do respect other opinion, but personally I’d rather eat THAT ice cream in Cortile once a week, than chew ice and suspicious flavourings from department stores.

I suggest to try coffee by Illy or tea Dammann, if you get kind of brain freeze. For a quick snack there is a small pastry selection, haven’t got the chance to try yet.

And last but not least, I will open you a secret: soon return to the counter ice cream on the stick, ice cream sandwiches and ice ice cream cakes. This is only a question of time, so break the leg, ragazzi, I wait!
